Interior trends 2027

These are the interior trends for 2027. From bold furniture to classic influences, we’d love to show you what’s ahead.

New colours, surprising shapes and familiar favourites with a fresh look. There’s plenty happening in the world of interiors in 2027. Our interior specialists have brought together this year’s key interior trends for you.

Interior trend sculptural brutalism

Sculpturaal brutalisme: de woontrend van 2027. Rechte lijnen en volumineuze vormen in de meubels. Fenix salontafel, eikenhouten tv-meubel en brutalistische eettafel

Bold gestures, voluminous furniture and striking works of art: that’s the ‘sculptural brutalism’ interior trend. A raw edge for modern interiors. Forget small, minimalist furniture and decorative objects on a sideboard: this style is all about larger elements. Think of a dining table with a robust base and an oversized vase as a focal point.

Instead of a ceiling light, choose an arched floor lamp that extends over your dining table. Or work with contrasting yet warm colours, such as purple, ochre yellow or olive green.

For a sculptural dining room, explore our design collaborations featuring unique, voluminous table bases. These include designs created in collaboration with Onno Adriaanse and Studio Verbaan.

Interior trend Mediterranean country

Mediterranean country style: boho and farmhouse in one. Bring the feeling of your favourite holiday destination and outdoor living into your home. Natural materials are key. Choose a robust finish for your wooden table and don’t be afraid to combine different wood tones. Complete the look with linen curtains and earthy shades for your upholstered furniture.

Flowing curves also work beautifully with this interior trend. Nothing in nature is perfectly shaped, and your interior doesn’t have to be either. Introduce this through an organic table shape or a curved staircase.

Green and beige tones work well in a Mediterranean country interior. Want to add a little more colour? Choose accents in terracotta or burgundy.

Interior trend all shades of wood

Fifty shades of... but with a different twist. Wood in every form and every shade has a place in this 2027 interior trend. Alongside wooden furniture, wooden kitchens and wall panels are also making their mark. And don’t forget wooden flooring, which can be laid in a variety of patterns.

By combining light and dark wood tones, you can create striking contrasts in your home. Pair a light floor with a dark oak dining table, for example, to make the table stand out.

Prefer a calmer interior? This trend works just as well. Choose the frame of your dining chairs in the same colour as your dining table. Or match the colour of your dining table with your coffee table.

Interior trend Mid Century Modern

Woontrends 2027: Mid Century Modern met sidetable in donkerbruin eikenhout en woonkamerset met beige plofbank en eikenhouten salontafels van Table du Sud

Elements from the past, complemented by pieces from today. Mid Century Modern brings retro and contemporary design together. Dark brown takes centre stage, both in wood tones and upholstery. This warm colour pairs beautifully with lighter shades such as ecru, moss green, mustard, sky blue or orange.

Distinctive details in furniture give your interior that typical Mid Century feel. Think geometric shapes or angled lines. Comfortable, practical furniture also fits this interior trend perfectly. For example, a generously soft sofa and a functional sideboard for extra storage.

Danish design, as seen in the Scandinavian interior style, also works beautifully with this trend.

Finally, quality is key to this interior trend. Furniture designed to last for years and fabrics that stay looking good over time. And if you make a sustainable choice too, you’ll tick every box for 2027.

The final interior trend for 2027:
colourful classic

By Colourful Classic, we mean deep, vibrant colours and rich materials combined with classic elements. Think of the atmosphere of an elegant country house, brought into your own interior. Ceiling ornaments and decorative wall mouldings fit beautifully with this trend. Niches and arches also work well, creating cosy corners throughout your home.

The colour palette within this trend is broad. The rule of thumb? Choose deep, muted shades for a rich, refined look. Combine them with velvet, leather, marble and solid wood and you’re almost there. Curious to see how the colours look in your own home? Order our free fabric samples and explore them in your own interior.

And the furniture? Think classic shapes with a modern twist. Straight lines with rounded corners, for example, or fully rounded forms. Bring these shapes into your interior with a round tabletop, a curved table base or rounded elements in your seating.
