Floor and Mathijs

Floor and Mathijs live with their son and daughter in Oirschot, in the south of the Netherlands. Just over a year ago, they found this lovely family home. The biggest plus? Plenty of space for the kids! After an extensive renovation, they could finally start creating their interior.

Making smart use of the long space, creating a calm interior without making it feel boring, and of course keeping two kids in mind. Those were the key ingredients for Floor and Mathijs’ interior. The result? A warm family home made for everyday life. Let us show you around!

A calm interior, but far from standard. That’s what Floor and Mathijs wanted for their home.

Organic concrete-look dining table

With so many wooden elements in their home, a little contrast was welcome. They chose the Leaf concrete-look dining table. The organic shape adds a playful touch to the dining area, while the concrete-look creates a pleasing contrast. With more than 25 colours to choose from, there’s an option for every interior. Floor and Mathijs chose ‘Grint’, a colour that fits perfectly with their colour palette.

And with two children at home, practicality matters too. The rounded edge has no sharp corners, making it a child-friendly choice. The perfect table for a family with two kids!

Dining chairs

To complete their dining area, Floor and Mathijs chose several Melzo dining chairs, alongside a custom-made dining bench. The children were also considered when choosing the upholstery. Glory fabric has a subtle texture, making small marks easy to remove.

The dining chairs offer a comfortable seat, so spending longer around the table is no problem. And thanks to the stable legs, the kids can sit securely at the table while getting creative!

And then there’s the long living space. Beautiful, but how do you keep it cosy? With en-suite doors and a fireplace, Floor and Mathijs created two inviting spaces without losing the open feel. And of course, the fireplace makes the seating area even cosier.

Sofa

In the living room, the couple chose the modular Camiel sofa. A wonderfully soft sofa that can be arranged in different configurations. Floor and Mathijs created a cosy seating area by the fireplace and a large lounge arrangement in front of the TV.

When guests come over, the individual modules can easily be moved closer together.

For those who noticed: the sofa is upholstered in the same Glory fabric as the dining chairs! This creates a sense of cohesion between the two spaces. And with two kids, you want to be able to enjoy your furniture without worrying too much. That’s where our All-in house service comes in.
